Built For The Ring
A downloadable game for Windows
⚠️ BETA NOTICE
Built for the Ring is currently in active development (Beta). The description below reflects the intended full experience at release.
Some features, modes, and systems described may be incomplete, limited, or not yet available in the current version. Ongoing updates will continue to expand functionality and bring the full vision of the game to life.
Built for the Ring is a brand-new digital tabletop wrestling experience that gives you complete control over every part of your wrestling universe.
Instead of simply playing a match, you build the match — and the promotion, and the wrestlers, and the arenas, and the moves, and the stories behind them… you get the idea.
You’re not just controlling a character; you’re shaping the entire wrestling universe. Just like sitting around a physical tabletop session, you have the freedom to create the world, the drama, and the moments that make it come alive.
Want to run a hyper-realistic real-world promotion?
Create a medieval gladiator wrestling league?
Stage superhero wrestling battles in space?
You can.
Every wrestler, arena, weapon, rule, and match moment can be created using step-by-step editors, saved as shareable data, and swapped between databases to build the wrestling universe you want.
Match Mode
Status: Singles matches are currently in the testing and improvement phase. Multi-person matches are in the experimental and development stage.
Match Mode is more than button-mashing — it's a visual storytelling system.
- Top-down arena view with a full grid layout
(ring, ramp, stage, ringside, backstage and more) - Drag wrestlers and objects around the arena during matches
- Timeline-based match system where moves happen in “moments” and "beats" on a 30 second timeline
- Queue setups and sequences to create believable match flow
- Automatic match events like near-falls, referee actions, and interference
- Dynamic crowd reactions that respond to what happens in the ring
Match Objectives & Goals
Status: Under development. Currently has limited impact on gameplay and will be the next area for improvement.
Winning isn’t always the only goal.
Matches can include a wide variety of objectives and storytelling goals that reward players for how a match unfolds — not just who wins.
Objectives can include things like:
- Delivering a five-star classic
- Protecting a tag partner
- Hitting a specific weapon spot
- Setting up a rivalry moment
- Building crowd excitement
- Executing a planned storyline beat
And those are just a few examples. The system supports many different objectives, and players can also create their own custom goals using the match creation tools (Coming Soon).
This means every match can feel different depending on what you're trying to accomplish — whether you're booking a technical masterpiece, a chaotic brawl, or a dramatic storyline moment. Just make sure you hit the allotted match time!
Capture match highlights with a match journal, take photos, add notes, and export memorable moments to share.
Create Mode
Status: Most Create tools are in the testing and improvement phase.
Create Mode is where your wrestling universe comes to life. If you can imagine it, you can build it.
Create Show
Design your arenas, stages, ramps, and rings in full detail. Place objects anywhere—chairs, tables, ladders, kendo sticks, or even a semi truck to climb and jump off. Upload images as stickers to fully customize your world.
Create Worker
Build wrestlers with unique appearances, movesets, personalities, and stats.
Create Match
Set rules, structure, and objectives for any type of match.
Create Move
Design moves step by step, including outcomes, crowd reactions, and risk of botches.
Create Beat
Control pacing and define key storytelling beats within matches.
Other Creation Tools
Create objects, locations, companies, objectives, injuries, and more—all stored in your Custom Content database for sharing.
In Create Mode, the only limit is your imagination—if you can think it, you can make it real in the ring.
Story Mode
Status: Planned for future updates.
Story Mode lets you build fully branching campaigns with rivalries, long-term arcs, and major events.
Retell classic wrestling moments, create original storylines, or design “what-if” scenarios. Every decision and match can branch in multiple directions, creating unique playthroughs.
Stories can be shared with others, allowing the community to experience and explore different wrestling worlds.
Create. Play. Share.
Whether you're a simulation fan, a wrestling booker, or a storyteller, Built for the Ring gives you the tools to create matches, universes, and narratives that are completely your own.
Build your world.
Book your matches.
Tell your story.
